A local-first alternative to Strava

Navara is an iOS fitness tracker built on a different premise: your training data belongs on your device, not on a server monetising it. No ads, no data selling, no subscription wall in front of your own stats — and your entire Strava history comes with you in minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I import my Strava history into Navara?+
Yes. Request your data export from Strava (Settings → My Account → Download or Delete Your Account → Download Request), then upload the ZIP at navara.fit/import. Activities, GPS routes, and history import in minutes, and duplicates against Apple Health are handled automatically.
Is Navara free?+
Navara is free during the beta, and core tracking stays free forever — tracking, Strava import, personal records, streaks, badges, segments, and data export. At launch, a low-cost Navara Coach tier (planned at about $4/month, a third of Strava's price) will cover unlimited route generation, adaptive AI coaching, and the Claude connector. Beta testers get founder pricing.
Does Navara sell my data or show ads?+
No. Navara is local-first: your workouts live on your device unless you enable cloud sync, and we run no ads and sell no data. The only analytics are anonymous usage events, disclosed in our privacy policy.
Do I have to stop using Strava?+
No. Many people run both — Navara reads workouts from Apple Health, so anything recorded on your watch shows up in Navara regardless of what else you use.
Does Navara work with Apple Watch?+
Yes. Navara imports every workout you record via Apple Health automatically — heart rate, GPS route, elevation and all — moments after you finish.
